Permeo and the Pilgrim database
cikk, szerző: sodi
As previously announced, Permeo O.Z. and Zarándok Turizmusért Nonprofit Kft. are working on a development in a joint project entitled “Innovative Pilgrimage Accessibility and Orientation Community Database and Data Collection Platform”.
When using the platform, visitors may encounter problems with the designed route they want to traverse, but they may also be able to report it using the app. thus, both hiker and pilgrim communities have up-to-date information on tourist and pilgrimage trips.
The aim of the development is for the partners to create a free-to-use and embedded Internet and mobile phone interface, with the help of which the highlighted problems can be collected up to date from the accessibility and orientation data of the pilgrimage route. With the help of the development, the type of the problem and its source can be easily indicated by the user, which can also hide a solution, because if we mark a fallen tree, we can also provide information to the responsible forestry or municipality if a problem is detected on a section. We will also be able to upload images to the interface, and other users who follow us will be able to confirm that the obstacle has already been removed or is still there.
The project also includes promotional activities and events organized within the framework of the project, with the help of which we want to promote the platform. The desired development can only be implemented in cross-border co-operation, within the framework of the Interreg V-A Slovakia-Hungary Co-operation Program small project ID SKHU / WETA / 1901 / 4.1 / 304, in which, in addition to joint development, the partners wish to further strengthen co-operation between the two partner countries.
